A common misconception of non-residents is the need to employ a geometra for all building works. Although many larger jobs do need a geometra, many in fact do not. Geometras often charge at least 10% of the contract value to oversee the works. If you are dealing with a geometra not only is your end cost far higher but there is an extra person in the chain of command. This inevitably leads to more time needed for requests to filter through to the builder and potentially more mistakes, which often equates to more costs to the client. We have a reliable geometra that works closely with us. However, our geometra is only employed if strictly necessary for the type of work being undertaken. Our geometra does not charge a percentage of the contract to make unnecessary visits but gives a fixed fair quote for all the necessary certifications and site inspections. This way there is no need for the client to deal with a middle person and thereby has a more efficient contract. The geometra & CPM Marche liaise tightly regarding any technical details & you are always kept firmly in touch.
